A welcoming after-school community for Brooklyn families.
Who We Are
Brooklyn Beans is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families through our after-school programming.
We believe every child deserves a safe, engaging place to go after school — one that nurtures creativity, supports social-emotional development, encourages movement, and helps students build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
What is Brooklyn Beans?
At Brooklyn Beans, our mission is to create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and at home after the school day ends. Through thoughtful programming and caring staff, we provide students with meaningful experiences that help them learn, connect, and thrive.
Our work is rooted in the belief that after-school hours matter. They are a time for discovery, academic support, friendship, creative expression, and healthy development.
What is Brooklyn What We Do?
We believe that a strong after-school experience should support the whole child. Brooklyn Beans provides programming designed to help students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically in a nurturing community setting.
Our approach includes:
Engaging activities that spark creativity and curiosity
Social-emotional development that helps children build confidence
Homework support to reinforce learning and help students succeed
Accessible After-School Support for Families
We are committed to providing dependable, enriching after-school care that meets families where they are. Brooklyn Beans offers flexible school-year programming so more children can access a safe and supportive environment after school. We offer financial assistance and scholarships to remove the financial barrier to our programming.
Every child deserves a place to learn, grow, and belong after school
Brooklyn Beans is committed to creating meaningful after-school experiences that support students and strengthen families across Brooklyn.
